ALS and Motor Neuron Disease

A 68-year-old retired male presents to your outpatient clinic with a 10-month history of progressive left upper extremity weakness, difficulty with fine motor tasks, and more recently, tripping over his right foot. His wife reports he has also developed slurred speech and occasional choking on liquids.
