Spasticity Management

A 38-year-old woman with chronic T10 AIS A paraplegia presents to the outpatient clinic with a 1-week history of acute, violent lower-extremity flexor spasms, significantly increased from her baseline. She reports being woken at night by the spasms, and her right hamstrings now exhibit a Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS) grade of 3, up from 1+.
